Harmony Through Horses
Transformative Counseling
Frequently asked questions:
-
Are you currently seeing clients in person? Yes. We are seeing clients in person on the barn property. Our outdoor facilities make it easy to follow social distancing and other CDC guidelines. For clients who prefer to remain virtual, we do have openings for Telehealth as well.
-
Is referral needed? Referral sources are not necessary to book services with us.
-
Do I need to have experience around horses? No prior experience with horses is necessary
-
How long are sessions? Sessions are 60 minutes in duration.
-
Do I need to be concerned about the weather? Our facility houses a large covered arena, an outdoor round pen and office space, all of which allows us to navigate changing weather conditions. Simply dress appropriately for the forecast and we will work in the area best suited for the horses and the humans.
-
Do you accept insurance? Yes. We accept and file Blue Cross Blue Shield.
-
Do you accept private pay? We do accept private pay clients. Private pay sessions are $120 per individual session and $150 for family therapy sessions.
-
Do you accept Medicaid? We are not currently taking Medicaid, but we do offer some limited spots on a sliding scale payment option for Medicaid recipients.
-
Do you provide horseback riding lessons? We do not offer riding lessons.
-
How to I schedule an appointment? Our caseload is currently full, so all new client inquiries are placed on a waitlist if it is determined that more immediate care is not necessary. Click on the Contact Us link and someone will be in touch with you to set up a phone consultation to help determine if we might be a good fit. We are also happy to aid you in seeking a referral if we are not a good fit or more immediate care is necessary.
